Top journalists Ramos, Baron to speak at ASU in ‘Truth Across Borders,’ April 14

Jorge Ramos, Marty Baron

Join two of the most respected names in journalism — Jorge Ramos, former Univision anchor, and Marty Baron, former executive editor of The Washington Post and The Boston Globe — in “Truth Across Borders,” an exhibit and conversation sponsored by Arizona State University, Tiempo and Planeta.

The bilingual event — panelists will address questions in both English and Spanish — is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, in the Evelyn Smith Music Theatre in the Music Building on ASU’s Tempe campus, 50 E. Gammage Parkway.

Admission is free but RSVPs are required.

The conversation “transcends borders — geographical, linguistic and cultural — highlighting the urgency of quality journalism in these times,” according to an ASU statement.

The event moderator is Javier Martin, executive chairman of Tiempo Co., which runs El Tiempo Latino and El Planeta.
