Weekly Newspaper Seeks Reporter to Cover Pinal County

The Apache Junction/Gold Canyon News is a weekly newspaper with the largest circulation in Pinal County (22,000 per week) and is seeking a writer/reporter to cover local news and events. The individual who formerly held this position is leaving to pursue an opportunity with a larger valley publication.

The opening is part-time to full-time (20-40 hours) with some evening and Saturday work necessary to cover important community meetings, editing and layout. The job does not necessarily require a degree in journalism, but does require the applicant to a have a writing ability, be a self-starter with organizational skills, have an outgoing personality, intelligence and be a quick learner.
