AAA Arizona announced in April that Jill Schildhouse has joined AAA Arizona as editor-in-chief of the bimonthly magazine Highroads®. In this role, Schildhouse will be responsible for overseeing the planning, writing, editing, and management of the magazine.
Schildhouse comes to AAA Arizona with more than 11 years of publishing experience. For the past several years she has been a freelance writer, contracting regularly for publications such as Arizona Highways, Muscle & Performance, Vim & Vigor, and Arrive, Amtrak’s onboard publication.
“Highroads has long been a go-to source on topics related to travel, automotive, insurance, discounts and driving safety and we are committed to building on the success and viability of the publication,” said Paige Chadwick, Highroads publisher and vice president of marketing for AAA Arizona. “We believe that Jill’s wealth of talent and experience will uphold the publication’s integrity while playing an essential role in publication’s future, which will greatly benefit our audience of more than 475,000 Arizona households.”

Prior to her freelance work, Schildhouse worked at McMurry, where she was responsible for publications including About Health, Massage Envy’s ME, GlaxoSmithKline’s Wellness Matters, and CBS’ Watch! She has also served as a senior writer for Inside Supply Management as well as associate editor for Food Product Design.
Schildhouse graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in corporate and organizational communications with an emphasis in journalism. She resides in North Central Phoenix.
